Opal Creations are based in Swindon and in central Portsmouth We have a variety of permanent development, sales and administrative staff with a variety of excellent freelance developers on hand to assist with any extra work. Freelance Web Developer

We are keen to find developers who want to work part time, in their own time, developing websites and web applications for us. This would suit an individual in full time education or with another job. This will be for occasional work only. We have provided the following requirements as an absolute minimum, anything extra is a bonus:

• PHP experience is essential, Classic ASP comes second here.
• MySQL experience or similar
• A sound understanding of HTML and CSS
• Must be confident with basic web server technology, hosting and domain management
• Age is not an issue as long as you can do the job well
• Must be able to produce a design and then build it yourself
• Preferred: Adobe Flash experience would be a good
• Preferred: Experience with integrating payment modules (paypal etc) into a website

We will require some sort of portfolio of your previous work or design. An example typical project that you would be involved in would be to develop and design an online ordering system for a pizza shop. All applications will be personally reviewed by the company director. You will benefit from the following:

Apprentice Developer

Also, we are exploring the option of employing a college leaver as a full time Apprentice Developer. If you are interested in this role, drop us a note with "why we should employ you".
